Martha Washington's Choice also known as George Washington's Choice is a classic bedspread that is made in the U.S.A. They are manufactured in the old Bates factory by former Bates employees, and made the same way as they were made 50 years ago

Martha's Choice-George chose the original of this bedspread for his bride. The original weave, older than Christianity, was lost when textile machinery replaced skilled weavers. Bates Fabrics had recaptured this weaving art and former employees continue this tradition. Candlewick(terry loop) bedspreads like Martha's Choice are as popular as they were when introduced by Bates over 60 years ago. Taught by their parents and grandparents, the early craftsmen who designed and manufactured the famous Bates Fabrics Bedspread Line, They used the same skills to create this Colonial American reproduction featuring garlands and stylized flowers. The terry loops create a hand woven effect with luxurious knotted fringe on 3 sides and rounded corners on the bottom. Bedspreads 100% cotton. Pre-shrunk. Machine washable. Available in White and Antique White.
