Baffle box construction is a superior method of manufacturing a down comforter. In baffle box construction, the top fabric and bottom fabric are connected by "walls" that rise as the down expands. Typical box construction only sews together the top and bottom fabrics in a box pattern. Without the walls, the down cannot rise as high.
